Our Goal
At 10-42, we recognize a critical gap in workplace violence training across many industries. Each year, thousands of employees nationwide experience assaults—many of whom work in professions not typically associated with such risks.
Our mission is to provide high-quality defensive tactics training to those often overlooked or under trained in traditional safety programs. We aim to equip these individuals with the skills to proactively avoid violent situations whenever possible. However, avoidance isn't possible, we ensure they have the tools and training necessary to effectively defend themselves during a violent encounter.
Meaning Behind 10-42
10-42 Tactics was built on a strong foundation in law enforcement, where communication codes—commonly known as "ten codes"—play a critical role. The code "10-42" traditionally signifies an officer going out of service at the end of their shift, symbolizing a safe return home.
Over time, it has also taken on a deeper meaning, honoring those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
At 10-42 Tactics, we want to keep people safe. Regardless of industry or profession, everyone deserves to return home at the end of the day. We employ a structured and strategic approach to identifying and mitigating risks related to workplace violence, ensuring that safety is not just a priority—but a promise.
